Dynamic OU Groups
Assign permissions to organizational units
All users of one OU are automatically added to one AD group.
DynamicGroup offers the flexible creation of OU groups.
Dynamic memberships
Select members and add them to a new OU:
- OU structure read out by DynamicGroup
- Create dynamic OU groups
- Selection of users, groups, computers
and/or contacts
Shadow groups for OUs
Make security settings based on the OU structure
and grant permissions for:
- File shares
- Network shares
- Granular password policies
Advantage: If members are added to or removed from an OU, the shadow group is automatically adjusted.
Types of groups
All group types have special symbols for an easy overview:
- regular groups and dynamic groups
- enabled and disabled dynamic groups
- prefixes for dynamic groups can be set as default
